Success Story

How VisaPlace helped to make it happen:

Background

Employers from Atlantic Canada interested in participating in the AIP program to fill a full-time position will contact the Provincial Immigration Office to express interest. The employer is not required to fill out a labour market assessment to prove a labour or skill shortage.

Immigration Situation

Veronica planned to visit the United States with her two children and to take them to Disney World. As a result of the numerous criminal acts committed in her youth, Veronica would normally be classified as inadmissible to the United States and would be denied entry at the US border.

Solution

In May 2016, Veronica arrived at our office and spoke to one of our consultants regarding a non-immigrant US I-192 waiver. This would typically be a complex and difficult immigration issue, however, our team of experienced lawyers and their assistants took on the case with confidence. And Veronica retained with VisaPlace’s legal arm, Niren and Associates, for a non-immigrant US waiver.

After we contacted numerous courthouses around the GTA, we were able to obtain a few of Veronica’s court records.

Outcome

On January 9th 2017, Veronica submitted her application for the I-192 waiver and was approved on May 8, 2017. She was granted a 5 year waiver, which is a rare, as most first time applicants are usually only given a one year term!

Veronica is currently planning her trip to Florida with her kids and is excited to be able to make her dream vacation with her family come true.
