Canada Immigration 2022

Coming to Canada as an immigrant is an exciting opportunity. Canada is one of the top countries in the world in which to work and to live. As one of the most popular immigration destinations, Canada attracts immigrants from all over the world.

Canada’s stable economy, high standard of living, educated population and low crime rates make Canada a preferred destination for immigrants worldwide. The federal government is aiming to bring a total of 341,000 permanent resident newcomers to Canada in 2021 then add on hundreds of thousands more temporary residents! Why don’t you become one of them?

What Entity Manages Canadian Immigration?

Citizenship, Immigration, and Refugees Canada (formerly known as the CIC) promotes the entrance of immigrants, protects refugees, and provides programs to assist newcomers in settling in Canada. It also includes granting Canadians’ citizenship and travel papers (such as passports).

The IRCC has visa offices worldwide and processes many types of visa applications for people residing outside of Canada.

Canada has generally had a progressive, open immigration policy, with most Canadians having foreign ancestors within a few decades. As Canada faces a demographic crisis while pursuing robust economic growth and security, immigration is expected to play a critical role in the country’s future.

One of the distinguishing features of Canada’s immigration policy is the provision of a road to Canadian citizenship for persons who make the important life decision to move to Canada. Becoming a Canadian citizen and joining the Canadian family is frequently a humbling and emotional milestone in the life of an immigrant.

Citizenship is still an essential component of IRCC, as it was before it was renamed.

Permanent Residence in Canada

A permanent resident is someone who has been given permanent resident status by immigrating to Canada, but is not a Canadian citizen. Permanent residents are citizens of other countries. A person in Canada temporarily, like a student or foreign worker, is not a permanent resident.

Canada plans to invite 90,000 temporary residents to become Permanent Residents through six new pathways.

Why Seeking Legal Help to Immigrate is Important

Knowing where to file, what documents are needed, and how to respond to government requests is a key part of the application process.
