Success Story

How VisaPlace helped to make it happen:

Background

In January of 1998, Allison Nakato, a Ugandan Native was granted a Canadian citizenship. Three weeks after Allison received her Canadian status she immigrated to Canada and settled in Toronto, Ontario. Allison eventually married a Canadian man, with whom she had two children. With her new family and new life in Canada, Allison still yearned to be reacquainted with her sister, Brianne Nakato.

Immigration Situation

Allison and Brianne hadn’t seen one another since Allison left for Canada in 1998. They’d kept in contact through mostly video chats over Skype and long distance phone calls. Both preoccupied by their own families and children, Allison and Brianne agreed on a date in January of 2017 to be together once more. Brianne sent in an application for a Canadian visitor visa to Citizenship and Immigration Canada in December of 2016 and was immediately rejected.

Solution

Feeling slightly defeated but not yet ready to give up, Allison and Brianne searched online for an attorney who could hopefully find a solution to their immigration complication. Allison stumbled upon our website and made an appointment to speak with one of our licensed immigration experts. Brianne retained with one of our lawyers in June of 2017 and reapplied for a Canadian visitor’s visa through our company.

Outcome

Three weeks after Brianne’s application for Canadian visitor’s visa was sent, we received confirmation three weeks later that it had been approved. And on July 1, 2017, Brianne arrived in Toronto, Ontario, where she was reacquainted with her sister Allison for the first time in almost 20 years.
